Environment

Our submissions are open for Issue 4 of The Unmooring. Our spring issues are themed, and this year we’ve selected “environment” as our defining theme.

While we welcome a broad interpretation of this theme, we also encourage work that addresses the many nuances of nature and creation with the varied Christian faith tradition. How do you understand environment? How does it affect your spiritual life, your prayer, what you see in your day to day life? What does it mean in the context of Christian theology today?

Important: For this issue, we have implemented a submission fee of $3.00 in order to help offset publishing costs. If for any reason you are not able to afford this fee, please use our contact form on this site to request a fee waiver. No proof of income or any other documentation is required. We do not want submission fees to be an impediment to anyone submitting. The Unmooring pays all artists/writers $25 USD upon acceptance for publication.

We are so excited for this upcoming issue of The Unmooring Journal and we are planning on having a launch party and some other fun surprises with this issue release. Please share our call widely and encourage women you know to submit to our magazine and amplify the voices of women of the Christian faith!
