Essays - Send us your best arguments and opinions on how and why Christianity is changing, or not changing, transforming or stagnating. In this pivotal moment, we are thrilled by the possibility of amplifying marginalized narratives and viewpoints that have been sidelined or silenced in other publications on faith.
Send us your best work—what you wish you were reading about Christian faith.
Articles - We’re looking for innovative takes and responses to issues of the broader Christian church, to theological debates, to the present moment. Researched pieces are welcome, but pitch us first.
We welcome unsolicited submissions, and accept simultaneous submissions provided you notify us upon acceptance elsewhere.
Length - Anywhere from 1000 - 3000 words; longer welcome, but please query first. We love longform. Please note we do not accept previously published work.

Liturgy
Liturgy is a form of public worship. For The Unmooring, this is a broad category that can include a number of different genres, including written prayer, poetry, scripture reflections, sacred text. Please note that if your work is poetic in nature, it should still reflect a prayer or liturgy in its tone and structure.
No more than 250-400 words. Please provide a brief explanation of what you’ve composed or are reflecting upon, and why.
Photography
We are looking for photography to use in our issues and online site, and are excited for the opportunity to feature both established and emerging photographers.
