We confess that we have lived in pride -- we have considered ourselves greater than all others.

We confess that we have lived lives that do not reflect your words or ways -- we live in deceit.

We confess that we are selfish -- always wanting more. We turn away from those in need. 

Lord God, forgive us.

We confess that we judge others, neglecting to recognize our own failures. 

Lord God, forgive us. 

We confess that we encourage strife and discord instead of seeking peace. 

Lord God, forgive us.

We confess that we equate meekness with weakness -- we disdain both.

Lord God, forgive us. 

We confess that we no longer love and respect others forgetting that without both, nothing else matters. 

Lord God, forgive us. 

In this moment, Draw us to YOU. To humility. To honesty. To charity. To acceptance. To peacemaking. To meekness. To Love.
