Submit to Issue 2 of The Unmooring!

Ancestors. The women who came before us. A tribute to the ones who lit the way, the trailblazers, and our connection to them.

We’re hoping to read stories of heritage, of the legacies both good and bad that have impacted our own lives and our faith, and the broader ancestry we all claim as part of a broken world in need of a Savior.

Send us your prayers and liturgies exploring this theme, your essays or articles that dive into the experience of learning from the past in a way that shapes our future, your artwork that draws inspiration from or looks to interpret the idea of ancestry.

Our submissions are fee-free and we pay all contributors a small honorarium for their work. You can submit up through May 1, 2021 for Issue 2 through our website form.

Please share our call widely with the women you know using the buttons below! We especially encourage women from Orthodox or Catholic backgrounds and women of color to submit to The Unmooring, for any of our issues. We hope to create a space with this journal that amplifies voices that others might not.

Submit to The Unmooring, even if you aren’t sure. It’s all part of a process. Women creatives often second-guess themselves and hesitate where men will not. Don’t be the one that waited. Take a risk and share your voice! We can’t wait to read what comes in.
